When we got the opportunity to support the Men’s England Hockey Team at the Hockey World League Semi Final 15 – 25 June 2017, hosted locally at the Lee Valley Tennis and Hockey Centre – we jumped at the chance.

It was a wonderful tournament with lots of twists and turns, the England boys did us proud – finishing 3rd overall after an absolute action packed game in the height of the heat wave… water obviously playing a large part in keeping everyone going – not that we can take full credit for their success!

Speaking after a 4-1 final day win over Malaysia, England Manager Bobby Crutchley said, “I’m really pleased with the step forward we’ve taken in a pressurised situation with World Cup and World League Finals qualification on the line. We achieved that, and that gives a really good opportunity to prepare for the next 18 months with lots of exciting tournaments ahead.”

“Today, I thought on the whole we dominated the game and scored some great goals. There’s always bits and pieces you want to improve but throughout the tournament I’ve been delighted with some of the hockey we’ve played.”

Supporting local businesses is at the heart of what we do, give us a call to discuss your clean and waste water needs – our local advisors even answer the phone quickly!
